United Way of Santa Fe County will open the doors to the future site of the United Way Early Center at Kaune with tours, short program.
Santa Fe, NM – United Way of Santa Fe County (UWSFC) will host an open house at the future site of the United Way Early Learning Center at Kaune (UWELC) on Tuesday, March 21st from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. UWELC at Kaune is located at 1409 Monterey Drive. The event is open to all residents of Santa Fe County. Highlights of the event include tours of UWELC at Kaune beginning at 4:30 p.m., and a short program at 5:30 p.m. with guest speaker, author, children’s advocate, and UWSFC Board Member Valerie Plame.
The early learning center at Kaune will provide high-quality early childhood education and care to children ages six-weeks through Prekindergarten. UWSFC is raising $500,000 to complete the first phase of renovation: the Brindle Frost Baby Wing for children six-weeks through age 2. The event will also highlight United Way of Santa Fe County’s role in early childhood education and care with a two-generation approach of support for both children and their families.
“We are excited to share the United Way Early Learning Center at Kaune with our community,” said Katherine Freeman, President & CEO. “This center will serve 180 children and their families.”
