Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Inspiring a Love for reading

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love for reading by gifting books free of charge to children. The program is made possible in Santa Fe County though our partnership with the Santa Fe County Community Services Department.  Founded by Dolly Parton in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has been proven to increase reading among young children. When you register your child, a book carefully selected by a national panel of experts arrives in your mailbox each month until they turn 5 years old.

What is it?

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a 60 volume set of books beginning with the children’s classic The Little Engine That Could. Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child’s name directly to your home. Best of all it is a FREE GIFT! There is no cost or obligation to your family.

Who is Eligible?

Preschool children ages birth to five who are residents of Santa Fe County.
